Master T. T. Liang was my first Taiji teacher. I met him in 1981 and studied one on one with him for the next 10 years. I was the first of our group to make the trek down to his home in St. Cloud, MN but after that journey a small group of us would visit him frequently. For the first few years we averaged a visit at least once a month and sometimes more often. When any of us had holidays or could arrange time off we would go down and live with Master Liang and Kuo Ao at his home, studying intently all day long.

When Master Liang left St. Cloud our group had enough students locally that we could arrange for students of the master to make a trip to Canada for a weekend workshop or other activities. In all I spent about 14 years intensely studying Yang style Tai Chi and learning the large canon of forms Master Liang taught to his students. During that time many memorabilia came into my possession including documents, books, photos and videos. Many of these were to be kept private but Master Liang was quite a generous man and often said that, like a good Christian, if you had something of value to share with your fellow man, you should unreservedly share it.

In that spirit I present a short video biography of Master T. T. Liang put together by one of his long time students. I hope you enjoy it and value it as much as I do.
