KickboxingGordon has been training in martial arts since the age of 12. He first studied hard style martial arts, including Judo, Karate, Kempo and kickboxing. By the time he began studying internal martial arts he was ranked as a 3rd degree black sash. Gordon is 4th from the left. The kickboxing team he is shown with here went on to sweep the Western Canadian Open Championships that was once a yearly event in Edmonton, Alberta. This was a no-rules competition that welcomed fighters from all martial arts including Karate, Judo, boxing and Kung Fu. After suffering a punctured eardrum Gordon went on to take a second place win in this competition. During his kickboxing career his best fight was an unofficial match with the then world contender for the middle weight championship. Gordon upset the contender and won the match.
